bpm is andrΘ bourgeois and geisan varne. "vol. 2 urban bossa" have
notorious guests like nana' vasconcelos, marcelo d2, dj marky, dj
mau mau, marcos suzano, bid, max de castro, andrea marquee, paula
lima, dj dolores, yara, herbert azul e bossa cuca nova.
the first cd "noite" (night) brings 7 remixes of bpm songs by: dj
dolores (recife), bossa cuca nova (rio de janeiro), bid, dj mau mau
and dj marky (sπo paulo). recorded in two steps, first folclore and
native songs has been recorded (frevo and bossa nova) composed by
geisan varne with cicinho (gilberto gil accordeon player), cΘsar
michiles (flute player that recorded with ze' ramalho and toninho
horta), claudinho andrade (gilberto gil keyboard player) and kesso
(that recorded with tim maia). after this, this songs been remixed
by the different dj's. each bringing its own concept of brazilian
regional rhythms and the night's electronic music.
the second cd "madrugada" (dawn) have 7 new songs by the band,
with participation of brazil's musical scene artists. the voices
are of marcelo d2 (from planet hemp group), max de castro, paula
lima, andrea marquee, yara, hamilton moreno and herbert azul. also
features other participations by percursionists nana vasconcelos
and marcos suzano, keyboard player juliano boccari, djalma lima on
guitars, cicinho on accordeon, claudinho andrade on piano and cΘsar
michiles on flute.
