Imagine for a moment that Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters
joined up with Rivers Cuomo of Weezer. This collaboration, as
unlikely as it might be, would indeed create a delightful
medley of distorted guitars, captivating lyrics, and a
reminiscent, yet fresh feel of rock music. This imaginary
match up would most accurately describe Bancroft and the music
they are making right this minute! BancroftÆs sound at its
foundation is rock with an upbeat edge. They could further be
compared to other well-known artists such as Jimmy Eat World,
Radiohead or Phantom Planet with a hint of The Red Hot Chili
Peppers mixed in. Bancroft delivers hook driven tunes, catchy
lyrics, and just pure fun embodied in solid rock fashion.

Bancroft is, Andy Hutchinson (Lead
Vocals and Guitar), Brett Duffy (Lead Guitar and Backup
Vocals), David Nemet (Bass and Backup Vocals), and Mark
Poseler (Percussion and Backup Vocals). All four members
collaborate to create intelligent songs that virtually
everyone can relate to. As down to earth as they may seem off
stage, on stage is another story. All four members pour their
heart and souls into the music to create a high energy show
that will have everyone bouncing around the room whether
theyÆve heard the band before or not.
Bancroft has carved a
niche for themselves selling out every show in their home turf
of Bowling Green, OH. Further testament to their success is
the sale of 1000 full-length albums (Anywhere But Home ⌐ 2001)
and further distribution of 1000 3-song demos (In Da House
Recordings ⌐ 2002). Bancroft has also been featured in OhioÆs
largest charity event, Dance Marathon, obtained select
positions on The October 2002 True Talent CD Compilation, and
the 2005 Budweiser True Music CD compilation for NW Ohio.
Bancroft is also increasing rotation on college radio
throughout Ohio.
Currently Bancroft is recording their
much-anticipated full-length CD, The Melophobic Solution, due
out fall of 2005. This shall be the bandÆs greatest triumph to
date, with only their best songs recorded with the utmost
attention to detail. In the meantime, steady touring
