A brand new label within the Vinyl Fanatiks family. AmenTec is a
collaboration between Amen Brother and Emotec, which is an
electro/techno label run by Damo B, who hosts a weekly show on
Unity FM in Manchester. The idea being that one label creates two
tracks and the other brings in their talent to remix them.
First off the bat is MOY, an electro breakbeat supremo who creates
the most in-depth soundscapes in dance music. And the two tracks
on this release are probably some of his finest work to date,
sweeping pads, rolling amen and squelchy 303. To rough them up a
bit, Amen Brother bring in two old school producers from way back
in the early 90Æs. Fugitive, who is Dave from Aquasky, bringing
back to life one of his earliest aliases that use to release on
Underdog Recordings in 93/94, utilising the skillset of his former
jungle pseudonym and WolverhamptonÆs hardcore soldier Silver Fox,
former house mate of Goldie, who dons his rave mask and goes in
hard and heavy with a monster of a remix.
This release brings together the best of the electro world and the
finest of the hardcore world and creates a release worthy of a
place within the collection of any dance music connoisseur.
