After outings on Intec as String Theory in 2005 and 2006, Jim Masters and Phil
Barry now come to Advanced. The title track is slickly produced, full, phat,
funky techno with a perfectly placed acid line and a housey techno edge. That
housey feel continues with 'Hive 5:57', uptempo and tough with a mental warped
synth hook. 'Carpenter' fills the b-side, a melodic tech house outing with warm
bassy synths and upright beats, similar in its vibe to Dave Parr's 'Smooth To
Touch' on Stompaphunk.
