|  Matt Harding began recording his songs in 1997 at the age of 22. "I had   |
|  a guitar but couldn't play, I started writing a few things and learned    |
|  to play a reasonable enough standard to do the songs." Much learning,     |
|  crafting and shaping songs followed to create his most recent album       |
|  'Tomorrow'. "When I'm writing, the only criteria I have is that it has    |
|  to have some feeling. Happy or sad, it doesn't matter. I like different   |
|  sounds and styles and experimenting while still being direct. I want to   |
|  make my stuff slightly abstract in structure and atmosphere but still be  |
|  accessible and melodic."                                                  |
|                                                                            |
|  Matt Harding's productions are a sea of many influences. If you ask him   |
|  who those influences are he'll reply in songs as opposed to individual    |
|  artists and it is because of this eclectic interest that his own songs    |
|  are so incredibly diverse and beautiful. The unclassifiable are almost    |
|  always the most outstanding. An acoustic guitar backdrop is the theme     |
|  throughout 'Matt Harding's EP ' that's peppered with a kicking drum beat  |
|  and lo-fi electronic lashings to complement Harding's folk like vocal     |
|  bliss.                                                                    |
