Release Notes:
If you like William Orbit, read on.
This is the debut solo album of Laurie Mayer, a
long time William Orbit-collaborator. She sung on
many of his tracks, and she's also part of the trio
Torch Song (the other two members are Orbit and
Rico Conning).
As you can imagine, the sound of the album is
ethereal electronic melodic music in the vein of
William Orbit's "Strange cargo"-series - though a
little more quiet and not including all the
trademark Orbit-harmonies.
So for great ambient listening, check out this
album. And if you like it, PLEASE buy it from her
website (www.lauriemayer.com). It's a self-financed
release, and all of the profits go directly to the
artist as there is no label involved.
By the way, William Orbit mixed tracks 5, 9 and 10.
And the album is produced by Laurie Mayer and Rico
Conning.
By the way, two interesting facts:
- The label Theomorph is probably Laurie Mayer's
own, and "theomorphism" literally means "God-
shaped"
- The catalogue number REV2221 is probably
Revelation 22:21, which goes: "The grace of our
Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen."
