The long-awaited mix CD from minimal queen Magda will finally hit the
shelves in August. But at 71 tracks, just how much was her licensing bill?
"She's A Dancing Machine" is built out of micro-edits, custom loops and
effects arranged and processed in Final Scratch. Squeezing 71 tracks into
CD length, donÆt expect to more than a snippet of each cut but do expect a
seamless blend integrating various records into a unique whole, a la Richie
Hawtin's æTransitions. The CD loops in Madga's own productions, the usual
dollop of M_nus stalwarts such as Hearthrob, Troy Pierce and Ryan Crosson,
and cuts from MagdaÆs new Run Stop Restore label Items & Things. But it's
not all the latest minimal techno. Look carefully at the tracklist and you
will spot records from the likes of Metro Area, Robert Babicz, Larry Heard
and Portion Control.
*NOTE*
a few weeks ago, eMF released this master piece, but we found out that it
was incomplete on all the sites around, since no repack our proper came
out from eMF themselves, we decided to proper it.. so here it is! :)
Ahh, Wondering why the .cue file is empty? since this mix includes more
then 70 tracks, but they cutted the mix in 16 parts, for easy skipping?
so the parts dont have names, wich means that we also didnt write names
into the god damn cue file! Don't blame us, they only made it easy for
u people, so you aint have to press the whole day on the FORWARD button
from your car-radio, to reach the point in the mix you really prefer ;)
