The soundtrack to a new animated baseball film titled Everyone's Hero will
feature a number of related songs that lean towards country, but also include
contributions from the likes of Wyclef Jean, Five For Fighting's John Ondrasik,
former American Idol contestant Paris Bennett and television star Raven-Symone,
who's also the voice of one of the characters.
The soundtrack will be released by Columbia/Sony Soundtrax on September 12,
three days ahead of the premiere of the film, which was originally the idea of
the late Dana and Christopher Reeve, who was the film's originating director and
executive producer. The comedy-adventure tells the story of a young boy who
makes a 1,000-mile journey to help Babe Ruth and the New York Yankees win the
World Series.
Among those contributing voices to the movie are actors Brian Dennehy, Whoopi
Goldberg, William H. Macy, Mandy Patinkin, Rob Reiner, Robert Wagner and current
Yankees manager Joe Torre.
