Original Love Injection is the hotly-anticipated debut release from the
Bodybeard Brothers. A Dr Jekyll concept band to the Leisure Allstars' Mr Hyde,
the Bodybeard brothers are superhero alteregos, freeing the Allstars to exercise
their superpowers. Original Love Injection takes fresh funk loops, reggae
vocals, peak-time club energy and makes it swing with a dancefloor swagger,
partly with the help of Boy Wonder scratch DJ Snafu, who at just 18 sent a
mixtape to hip-hop connection which was described by DJ Yoda as the best he'd
heard for a long while. Don't sleep on this kid, he's got plenty of game and he
has years to get even better too. On the remix is another Bristol hero, Boca 45.
Veteran of the international club circuit and producer of some of the finest
funky business to come out of Bristol in many moons, Boca knew he had to get
involved when he heard the buzz bass stylings of Original Love Injection
emanating from his local dance hall and speakeasy Native, late one saturday
night. Boca's stripped things back and taken them to the source of the beats,
adding a few horns in for that Boca 45 carnival sound. Feast your ears and your
feet will follow.
