> Notes:
A few months have gone by since Kalymas smash hit Sacrosanct
and at this point we would have loved to announce our new Solide
edition, but unfortunately youll have to wait a little longer for
the forthcoming vinyl. This may seem like bad news at first, but
it isnt as we came up with an idea to maintain the output of the
label, while were cookinup our next spotlight product. Digital
platforms provide the opportunity to release very quickly at any
time we feel like feeding our community with the Solide sound. As
a result each crew member produced a tune especially for this
purpose; the first Solide Team Up in full effect, digital only.
Making his first appearance on the label, D.Y.A produced a catchy
vocal house tune in collaboration with the Montreal based singer
Overnite (The Black 80s). Wether youre warming up or closing your
set, Escape was made to enable smooth transitions in the dynamic
range of your DJ set, without loosing energy. You can expect his
forthcoming vinyl on Solide later this year. On the other hand
Kalymas production contains of hypnotic synths and a equally
hypnotic voice treated with interesting effects. The pumping beat
of Can you reach definitely shows that Berlin has been a home to
Kalyma ever since he started producing. Last but not least MYNY
does not care if youre staying sober or not, but we all encourage
you to listen to his contribution to the team up. On Sober Paul
Brennings vocal performance is surrounded by dark synths and a
melancholic piano chord progression. The decision to place those
elements on top of a groovy, percussive beat, led MYNY to the
accomplishment of creating a very unique vibe.
