│ Pop punk band from Chile. Has a lot of fans, and i gotta admit: i
│ hated them but now i love them ;). The vocalist has a great voice.
│ I've seen them live twice, and now they changed the bassist. Now they
│ play with Abril's old bassist. That will sure make their change their
│ style a little bit. If you like New Found Glory, old Saves The Day,
│ you'll like this.

│ FAKIE nace el a±o 97, cuando Alejandro V. (voz) y Jorge R . (bateria)
│ se conocieron en el colegio De la Salle.
│ Jorge, en Θse tiempo, tocaba guitarra y se juntaba en las tardes con
│ Alejandro para componer y escuchar m·sica. Luego (por medio del
│ skate) Jorge se reencontr≤ con Sebastißn C, AndrΘs Z. y Gonzalo G.(
│ ex compa±eros de curso) y empezaron a andar y tocar juntos.
│ Los cuatro se juntaban todos los fines de semana a andar en skate y a
│ tocar covers de distintos grupos (millencolin, mxpx, nofx, nufan,
│ etc.) Hicieron esto durante todo el a±o 98, tomando experiencia y
│ mejorando cada vez mßs como grupo.
│ Paralelamente, Alejandro continuaba juntßndose con Jorge, creando sus
│ propias canciones y adoptando nuevos estilos de m·sica.
│
│ Ya en el a±o 99, Alejandro se une definitivamente al grupo. Se
│ empiezan a crear algunas canciones como "missing faces", "sometimes",
│ etc. (en inglΘs, ya que les era mßs c≤modo) y FAKIE empieza a tomar
│ personalidad propia.
│ Llega la primera tocata, Colegio Creces. La banda, en ese tiempo, no
│ se preocupaba mucho de tocar frente a p·blico, prefiriendo tocar
│ junto a sus amigos y en fiestas (tocando covers).
│
│ Es solo en el a±o 2000 cuando FAKIE entra por completo a la escena,
│ tocando en distintas partes de Santiago y creando nuevas canciones,
│ aunque ahora en espa±ol, por la fuerte necesidad de expresar (a su
│ gente), las distintas ideologφas que la banda compartφa.
│
│ Un factor determinante en la estructura musical del grupo, fue la
│ disposici≤n a explorar variados tipos de m·sica, ya sea hardcore,
│ punk, emo, indie, etc. transformando a FAKIE en un concepto abierto y
│ original, que poco a poco se abre paso en el mundo musical Chileno.
