One song on Guilty Feet's current album "At Home We Are
Tourists" is called "Phil Spector Blues". Nevertheless, one
won't find no honey-sweet string arrangements here, yet it's
still building a grand wall of sound. The opener "Postmodern
Lovesongs" reminds us a bit of Eels.
Dreamy FX and lounge sounds melt into classic songwriting and
british attitude, with focus on electronic influences create
little pop hymns like "Wait For Something". All tracks share a
certain kind of relaxedness, which signals that this band from
Hamburg, Germany, will not be coerced into complying with any
market requirements.
These cleverly scattered electronic sounds will sound best
with headphones, at home like the album title suggests, and we
shall dive into a small dream-pop universe for shoegazers and
space tourists. A small masterpiece.
Note: There are a few strange clicks here and there. We have
checked all of them. They are part of the audio signal on CD
and no ripping errors! (e.g. Track 9, 0'43" & end of track 9)
