Nothing can slow down these three, young, hot blooded musicians. Through thick
and thin Portland, OR Wet Confetti have hung on tight to their fundamental
beliefs that if you play music from the heart, nothing will stand in your way.
Live these three put on an electrifying show. Drummer Mike McKinnon's sonic
assault on the drums is enthralling and can enrapt an entire room with his sharp
and crafty beats. Whether its Daniel Grazzini's haunting keyboard lines or rigid
guitar playing its always tasteful and imperative to the mix. Vocalist/Bassist
Alberta Poon commands the stage with her flair for snotty and intense
performance. Her Caterwauling vocals stab through the mix and her driving bass
lines never skip a beat. Together these three create music that is not only
great, it's urgent.
Recently Wet Confetti caught the eye of Gang of Four bassist Dave Allen, who
along with former shriekback member Mike Cozzi produced the bands upcoming full
length Laughing Gasping.
The album due to drop fall 2006 captures the energy and spirit the band exudes
in their live performances.
Wet Confetti has made their mark on the local music scene, and has their sites
set on a larger audience. Whether it's a splash or an explosion, these three
young musicians have a lot of potential.
