release notes
............,
This is a very silly release, with music by Andy Jenkinson (Ceephax
Acid Crew) for the "Crisp Chronicles" motion picture. In truth, its
just a short video produced by his brother Jonny Jenkinson and friend
Philip Thompson.
You can watch the full film at
http://www.chelmsfordfilmsociety.com/crisps.htm
This release also has the best artwork EVER. Enjoy.

Within the vast pantheon of mankind's creation, the Frazzle has to be
one of its crowning glories - where a maize snack was rendered a
legend through eye-popping bacon flavour and a truly ungodly colour
scheme. Ensuring they're legacy is passed on, John Jenkinson and Phil
Thompson set about crafting an animated film 'The Crisp Chronicles' -
to which they roped older brother Andy Jenkinson into doing the
soundtrack work for. Known to you and me as Ceephax Acid Crew and a
sibling to the man Squarepusher, Andy Jenkinson is a slave to the
tumbling rhythm - with fireflies of ruptured analogue activity
ripping through the underlying digital mesh to create a blazing
thatch of demented rightness. Not having seen the film means we can't
judge this on celluloid merits, but based purely on the sound flowing
through the stylus it's a salty treat that won't leave a greasy taste
in the mouth - as Jenkinson conjures up wave after wave of gnarled
acid and somersaulting rhythms with which to pistol whip your senses.
With the likes of 'Death Theme', 'Victory Theme' and 'The Crisp
Chronicles Abridged' all sliced and diced into plasticated frenzy,
Jenkinson has again smacked us in the chops with a blast of
syncopated hardcore that'll have your eye out. Crisp 'n' Dry Day!

information and greetings
........................,
MAEM is dedicated to the promotion of interesting electronic music, old
and new. Unlike most groups, we will not target individual sub-genres
within the electronic field. Quite simply, if we like the sound, we will
release it. This includes (but is by no means limited to) : techno, idm,
italo disco, electro, acid, ambient, downtempo, and house.
MAEM has years of ripping experience, and we will ensure we meet or
exceed the quality which is expected within the scene.
Finally, MAEM genuinely cares about the music we release. It may seem
somewhat cliche, but we buy ALL of the records we release, and if you
enjoy this mp3 sample, then do the right thing and buy a copy for
yourself. Good artists and record labels deserve your support!
Greetings to BEX, BOSS, BCC, CMC, DH, Disc0, DPS, EMP, FWYH, I8, JUST,
KW, PSYCZ, SOUP, SOUR, TR, UKI, and all MAEM affiliate sites. Thank you!
