│ D'Stephanie is more than a steady fixture on the Belgian club scene- │░
│ for about 13 years she played from the Gambia to Rome to London to │░
│ Paris to Amsterdam to Barcelona... for a mixed crowd ( the hip- the │░
│ Royal- the young- the old- the jetset and the gettho) through the │░
│ boundaries of Broken beat- nu soul- afro- House- ElectroFunk- │░
│ freestyle breaks and dub.In January 2004 Stephanie has stopped her │░
│ 3-5 year residency at club geluk (Antwerp) to refresh her mind and │░
│ to focus on her new DJ project : D'Stephanie feat. (Melissa or │░
│ Philippo)- a dj set mixed up with live │░
│ vocals... │░
│ Since then Stephanie and Melissa regularly crossed the border to │░
│ London and heated up many clubs in Belgium and Germany thanks to │░
│ their releases on Black Vinyl- Realbasic- Hed Kandi and MN2S. │░
│ Summer of 2005 D'Stephanie and Philippo released their first ep │░
│ 'Future warrior' on Jazzanova's Sonar Kollektiv label with a remix │░
│ from Daz I Kue from Bugz in the Attic fame. This one became a huge │░
│ hitsingle on StuBru (Belgium's comparitive to radio 1 in the UK) and │░
│ the summeranthem of Pukkelpop- one of Belgium's biggest festivals. │░
│ Due to their release they were invited to play at the medicine bar │░
│ (London)- Pukkelpop- Laundry day- Stereo sushi - Cafe capital and │░
│ many more tbc. │░
│ In July 2005 Stephanie invited afrophusion queen Wunmi (NY) to join │░
│ her for a dj set at the 10 days off festival and a recordingsession │░
│ in her hometown which resulted in their runaway child ep on Chez. │░
│ In September 2005 Stephanie has released her first ep on London's │░
│ most funky breakbeat label 'Jalapeno' with appearances by Philippo │░
│ (Rock the disco) and Melissa (Funk up my day). This one allready │░
│ made it to STUBRU's daily programmation and recieved good reviews by │░
│ the Australian- Belgian -UK press and dj's all over the globe. │░
│ Januari 2006 Stephanie finished a sound engineering course with a │░
│ training period at the renowned Soho recording studio's- FM brussel │░
│ and StuBru. │░

│ In 1999 Stephanie released her old skool funky debut maxi Work your │░
│ body (1999). It was quickly recognized as a certified floor filler │░
│ by several of her peers and made it's way to the underground dance │░

│ Furthermore- Stephanie collaborated on an all out Shake-your-bones │░
│ remix for Belgian funkateers The Wizards of Ooze (2000) and later │░
│ that year 'Get up and do it' (2000)- with vocal contributions from │░
│ young Jamaican rootsmaster Rohan Lee- which was spotted by DJ │░
│ Magazine- Jockey Slut- Breaksworld- Plastiks and Out Soon. │░

│ September 2001 Stephanie remixed Wawadadakwa's Ayama zira into a │░
│ deephouse groove featuring Melissa with the massive support of Mateo │░

│ rocking various parties for the Antwerp Academy of Fine Arts (known │░
│ for it's world renowned fashion department) in the early nineties- │░

│ Channel 'Show where she started to spin Jamaican and African │░
│ inspired dance music on Antwerp's most notorious Radio Centraal. │░

│ residencies and 7 gigs at Belgium's most famous '10 days off' │░
