With a dedicated fan base across the U.S. and Europe and with help
from Mary Chapin Carpenter and an impressive roster of seasoned
players, Catie CurtisÆ latest release, Long Night Moon, is one of
the most highly-anticipated releases of 2006 for devotΘs of the
singer-songwriter tradition. With ten years of recordings under her
belt, the songs on Long Night Moon speak deftly in the voice of a
woman who understands fully the joys and frustrations of adulthood
without compromising the wit and gentle spirit that have always
characterized her work. Backed by a stellar band including John
Jennings (Mary Chapin Carpenter), John Sands (Aimee Mann), Mark
Rivard (Morphine, Shawn Colvin), Kevin Barry (Paula Cole, Jonatha
Brooke). The CD was produced by Lorne Entress.
A road warrior since the mid-90s, Curtis has toured with the Lilith
Fair and with artists such as Dar Williams and Mary Chapin
Carpenter. Her songs have appeared in numerous television shows
(DawsonÆs Creek, Felicity, GreyÆs Anatomy and Alias) and
independent films (500 Miles to Graceland, A Slipping Down Life).

Catie was recently awarded the International Songwriting
Competition's Grand Prize for ôPeople Look Around,ö which she
co-wrote with Mark Erelli and which appears on Long Night Moon. The
song unflinchingly tackles the human toll of Hurricane Katrina and
was selected from 15,000 entries from 82 countries.
