The Tenth Stage was formed in December 2005, and combines the vocal
talents of Roberto Massaglia (Tankt) and the production/synth skills of
John Von Ahlen (Subterrane Studios).
Their music is Darkwave to say the least. The album weaves you through
a catacomb of murderous love ballads, then takes a twist, elevating the
senses into a Gothic-Bluesy orchestration that never fails to enthral
with its touches of Dub and Classical whimsy. With all of this there is
still room for a showering of kaleidoscopic Electronica. Every track
seems to creep into one╞s ears in a blissfully eclectic blend of
cranial candy. A dark delicious masterpiece worth decidedly more than
an absent listen. :)
Several well known names have contributed musically, vocally, or both
for this project including Ian Burden (Ex-Human League), Mark Tansley
(Suspiria, Intra Venus), Charles Fenech (Angel Theory), Karl Learmont
(Angelspit), Chris McCarter (IKON), The Baroness (Opera Macabre),
Rowena Martin, Ulla Kruse and Andzelika Staszewska.
