│ The Platinum Pied Pipers debut album "Triple P", and subsequent │
│ tour dates, have earned them praise from all corners of the │
│ world. Smashing any current musical pigeon holes the PPP team │
│ lead the charge of a new generation of hip hop and soul │
│ producers. Their sweet soul music rides on bruising beats and │

│ bling and bragging. │
│ │
│ Platinum Pied Pipers "Triple P" was nominated for album of the │
│ year and the bands live performance earned them a Session of │
│ the Year nomination from listeners to BBC Radio 1's worldwide │
│ show. This past year they played live with Roy Ayers at │
│ Summerstage in Brooklyn, completed a mix for Triple 5 Soul, and │
│ remixed The Herbaliser w/Jean Grae for Ninja Tune and Marvin │
│ Gaye for Atlantic Records. TheyÆve also played live dates │
│ worldwide from Detroit to Toronto, Amsterdam to London. │
│ │
│ Main man Waajeed is no stranger to those who know their hip-hop │
│ and dig for instrumental beats. Teaming up with production guru │
│ Jay Dee in the early 1990s, he helped form Slum Village │
│ contributing tracks to their "Dirty District" compilation on │
│ Sequence/Kinetic as well as their critically acclaimed "Trinity │
│ (Past, Present, and Future)" album released on Capitol. He also │
│ worked with Jay Dee co-producing on the instant classic, │
│ "Welcome 2 Detroit" (BBE) as well as co-producing songs with │
│ soul sensation Dwele. Waajeed's Bling 47 label provided the │
│ launching pad for "The Official Jay Dee Instrumental Series" │
│ and the first installment of his own popular "BPM" instrumental │
│ series. │
