Since their creation Charlotte`s Shadow has dabbled in many genres and
has drawn upon many diverse influences. The band came to light in
Dublin, where band ascertained their many distinguishing
characteristics that still prove to set them apart today.
Later to re-allocate to Germany, the band summoned to be at the fore
front of the new gothic movement. It was here that the band were
immerged in the heart of the dark wave movement and endeavoured to
acquire everything that the underground Berlin panorama had to offer.
After a brief period of recreation the band emerged reinvigorated and
now felt ready to take on something more substantial.
This is where the band decided to re-launch and reinvent themselves in
Spain; to take on and place their imprint on a genre that in recent
times had almost been forgotten.
On many Levels the band has been influenced by the emotions that has
dominated the early Gothic scene, and they still endeavour to remain
loyal to what their true definition of Goth music might be.
Concentrating on concepts of romanticism, melancholy; despair and
uncovering beauty in despondency. It is through this style and
commitment to the fundamental Goth genre, that the band has won over a
strong fan base, and continue to receive critical acclaim wordwide.
