▌ of moods and athmospheres from the past two years to a homogeneous ▐
▌ sound-experience in seven images. these seven pieces (plus one ▐
▌ hidden track), carefully arranged in their relation to each other, ▐
▌ represent a conglomeration of musical ideas gathered during your ten ▐
▌ mofoÆs first years of existence; a conglomeration that nevertheless ▐
▌ keeps changing form and appearance - from playful, quirky electro- ▐
▌ pop to collossal hymns. having this in mind one might start to ▐
▌ appreciate the album title. it is (probably) all about harmony - ▐
▌ even if some dark clouds float across - they only create a new ▐
▌ context for this harmony to be seen differently - again. ▐
▌ ▐
▌ before going into the actual process of recording our debut, we ▐
▌ spent about half a year preproducing the album, trying to get the ▐
▌ arrangements as well-structured as possible. this was essential in ▐
▌ order not to lose track of the great number of instruments/tracks ▐
▌ and thereby set up a reasonable schedule for the actual recording ▐
▌ sessions. in recording we finally went for the DIY-method instead ▐
▌ of a traditional studio, because we assumed that with every external ▐
▌ technician/sound engineer we would give way to losing track of our ▐
▌ own ideas and their realisation. in order to be absolutely ▐
▌ independent time-wise we mostly recorded in our own homes, laying ▐
▌ down the guitar tracks on the parentsÆ attic while the neighboursÆ ▐
▌ cows were chilling away on the sphereic sounds; vibraphone, ▐
▌ glockenspiel, bass and vocals were even done in our own livingrooms. ▐
▌ only the drum-parts we wanted to put on tape in a room as big as ▐
▌ possible to capture its complete sound-spectrum. so, finally, we ▐
▌ ended up recording about 20 days û just as long as we spent mixing ▐
▌ the material. ▐
