After a barrage of 12 " and 7" releases, Steady Diggin Workshop have achieved
critical acclaim and have gained respect from the likes of DJ Yoda, Cut Chemist,
Rob Swift, Stones Throw and Mr Scruff to name a few. Now the time has come for
their eagerly anticipated debut album. This is a 12" sampler which precedes a 14
track long-player that embraces the ethos of mid 90s hip hop and the raw energy
of 70s funk, whilst bringing something distinctly unique to the scene. Using
techniques of heavily chopping and re-sequencing samples to create their own
loops, mixed with live instruments and percussion to create new music, which
blurs the lines between sampled and live musical compositions.
