marc marzenit is a young man in his twenties from mollerusa, lleida,
with a steady classical music training which furthers up to the sound
degree which he is studying right now, is one of the sensations of
the moment in the electronic spanish scene, required by the most well
known clubs and festivals (florida 135, family club, zenclub, pulp
mansion, electrosplash...) owing to his superb and eclectic live,
where the most pounding minimal to the most sturdy techno fits in.
the melody in the heart of their tracks ever. this wide sound range
is the one we can just appreciate in "trozitos de navidad", his first
ep that has been brought out through paradigma musik, a new label
which marc takes part in. this ep is made up with three cuts. the
first two, whose names refer to the album similar among them but with
slight differences which make them different in a way. the first
version looks like the border community's minimal tech house
progressive (do not misunderstand, marc doesn't want to ressemble to
nobody), but from the techno point of view it's quite close to
detroit or even the very best times of scandium or kanzleramt. the
second one, "primavera remix", skips at the begining the electro
house to enter again in an orgy of "nearly trancy" melody which will
delight those who really look for something more than rhythm scheme
making this song interesting to a wide variety of dj's. "music save
me", fullfils the first paradigma's musik proposal and this is not
made by filling up as a lot of current producers usually do. hipnotic
techno following the style of paul kalkbrenner or robert babicz and
with melancholic beams makes it compatible with minimal progressive
house or whatever the selector wishes. marzenit highlights in his
ability to agglutinate thousands of styles in hardly six or seven
minutes. marc has a lot to say from now on.
