The bossa groove is greatly expanded here -- and although Brazilian in flavor,
the tracks here come from a wide variety of styles and sources! But as always
with this great series, there's a real sense of depth to most of the work --
none of those "bossa remix" tracks that throw a bit of cuica on top of beats,
but really organic little numbers that still foreground the best elements of
bossa and Brazilian jazz in their vocals and instrumentation. A fair bit of the
numbers here are unfamiliar -- so you probably don't already have them on CDs in
your collection -- and titles include "Aquarela Do Brasil" by Bossa Bossa,
"Arcoiris Underground" by Arcoiris, "Morning Light" by M-Swift with Vanessa
Haynes, "Sim Ou Nao" by Nova 40, "Luz Do So" by Kaleido with I-Dep, "I've Got
The World On A String" by Karen Aoki, "Roda (Soulstance rmx)" by Nu Braz, "Lost"
by Thumbtribe, and "Sunburst" by Cargo.
Enjoy...
