██▓▓ In October 1991, no-one expected the first sporadic ██▓▓
██▓▓ PSYCHO THRILL äTechno Against Fascism" parties û run ██▓▓
██▓▓ by founder Claus Bachor and his FORMIC Records (of ██▓▓
██▓▓ Cologne) cronies Andreas Bolz and Gregor Luttermann ██▓▓
██▓▓ in Bonn`s BALLHAUS, from 1992-98 together with Roland ██▓▓
██▓▓ Casper û to become one of the most consistent techno ██▓▓
██▓▓ institutions in Germany till today. It was its ██▓▓
██▓▓ relentless and uncompromising dedication to the house ██▓▓
██▓▓ & techno underground that made Psycho Thrill û sort ██▓▓
██▓▓ of "back by public demand" style and requested by the ██▓▓
██▓▓ club owners û a Wednesday-nights institution from ██▓▓
██▓▓ February 1992 on, first at the Ballhaus, from ██▓▓
██▓▓ September `94 at the Slam Club. Beginning in `93, it ██▓▓
██▓▓ became its own brand even far beyond the cities of ██▓▓
██▓▓ Bonn and Cologne. And not without good reason. Cos`, ██▓▓
██▓▓ after all, and largely due to its residents and ██▓▓
██▓▓ numerous guest jocks, Psycho Thrill continues the ██▓▓
██▓▓ noble tradition of its - house & techno-wise - ██▓▓
██▓▓ era-defining predecessors such as Cologne`s RAVE CLUB ██▓▓
██▓▓ (88/89), SPACE (90-92), ELEVATOR (91/92), and ██▓▓
██▓▓ WAREHOUSE (92-94), where Mr. Bachor and his sometime ██▓▓
██▓▓ partner Mr. Casper, since 1989, had helped define the ██▓▓
██▓▓ techno/house underground for the Rhine area in their ██▓▓
██▓▓ very own ways. The punters` support led to a move û ██▓▓
██▓▓ via Cologne`s 42 dp (from `95) and the KITT CLUB ██▓▓
██▓▓ (from March `97 on every Saturday) û to the ARTHEATER ██▓▓
██▓▓ in spring 1998 (since then usually on each third ██▓▓
██▓▓ Saturday of the month) and in the following time to ██▓▓
██▓▓ Dr. Walkers CAMOUFLAGE Club, THE SENSOR CLUB and also ██▓▓
██▓▓ to one of Cologne┤s new first Techno adresses THE ALL ██▓▓
██▓▓ AREAS CLUB, where the PT_Club has managed to maintain ██▓▓
██▓▓ its status as one of the traditional techno/house ██▓▓
██▓▓ events. ██▓▓
██▓▓ ██▓▓
██▓▓ So, even in its fourtenth year of existence, PSYCHO ██▓▓
██▓▓ THRILL definitely represents pure Underground related ██▓▓
██▓▓ Electronic Music like Detroit┤s Techno Soul, all ██▓▓
██▓▓ Chicago Basics like Acid, plus Minimal House and ██▓▓
██▓▓ Electro, covering all the variety of Techno and House ██▓▓
██▓▓ sounds but also incorporating music such as the ██▓▓
██▓▓ so-called Sound of Cologne (but without following the ██▓▓
██▓▓ hype of "the minimal" by Germany┤s mostly rather PR ██▓▓
██▓▓ related jounalism). An admittedly abbreviated list of ██▓▓
██▓▓ the many famous international and national guest DJ`s ██▓▓
██▓▓ who`ve helped in building its reputation can be found ██▓▓

██▓▓ them also appeared on the first PSYCHO THRILL ██▓▓
██▓▓ compilation which was released in `96 on ██▓▓
██▓▓ Roadrunner/IRS. And PSYCHO THRILL has continually set ██▓▓
██▓▓ standards by offering an innovative, uncompromising ██▓▓
██▓▓ and timeless techno showcase for an open-minded ██▓▓
██▓▓ audience that is always ready to party. ██▓▓

██▓▓ As can be deduced from the guest list, PSYCHO THRILL ██▓▓
██▓▓ has been putting special emphasis on genres Detroit ██▓▓
██▓▓ techno and Techno Bass û this is also more than ██▓▓
██▓▓ obvious from the editorial policy of Bachor`s scene ██▓▓
██▓▓ publication d2000 [ 1996 û 2003 / to be followed up ██▓▓
██▓▓ by www.LUVletter.org as well as his own sets. The ██▓▓
██▓▓ first and highly successful PT club tour in 1997 came ██▓▓
██▓▓ in the wake of a compilation which featured a more or ██▓▓
██▓▓ less égeneral` approach to techno, whereas the first ██▓▓
██▓▓ äDetroit People Mover" mix cd (G.U.M./Ausfahrt) ██▓▓
██▓▓ reflected the content of the second club tour in ██▓▓
██▓▓ 1998/99 every bit as successfully, by focussing on ██▓▓
██▓▓ that Psycho Thrill specialty; it also included more ██▓▓
██▓▓ track-oriented house. Also the mix cd äSpy In The ██▓▓
