The buttshakers from south of france came back to snowy hamburg to record
their second album - called "night shift". Guided by the awesome and yet
wild energy of ciara thompson - best know for being a whirlwind on stage -
the buttshakers stick to their roots of dirty rhythm'n'blues and northern
soul. Influences like sly and the family stone, charles bradley, sharon
jones, etta james, marvin gaye are embraced by the band, all with a nod to
the motown sound of the 60s. You'll find kick-ass rock'n'roll sounds in
songs like "night shift" or "the girl can't dance" (the only cover song at
the album, originally from bunker hill). "only your love" - a wonderful
ballad shows the fantastic vocal skills by the attractive singer ciara
thompson (she learned the singing in a gospel choir in us of a where she
     was brought up).
