Hans, Arto and Timo met first time at Kaustinen Folk Music Festival in
Finland 1983. Hans' band at the time was Forsmark III and their
concerts and jam made a big influence to Arto and Timo. Forsmark III
returned to Kaustinen Festival next summer and that's when first
jamsessions with Forsmark III and JPP happened. Since then irregular
jamsessions here and there made us dream to do something together.
That started to turn new ideas in fall 2003 when this trio had their
first rehearsing in HyvinkΣΣ, Finland. After 2nd meeting in January
2004 at Hans' homebase Gothenburg in Sweden they were ready to
premiere concert at AllΘgσrden in Gothenburg. First appearance was
instant success and audience started to ask where they could get this
great music!
For this CD Arto and Hans have adapted traditional tunes from Sweden
and Finland + also composed new tunes for the trio. This great stuff
is brainstormed together under the Nordik Tree where we invite you to
sit down and enjoy it!
