One of the most consistent industrial bands of the 1980s, even
though they regularly pursued a more electronic variant of the sound
that swept into vogue during the '90s, Front 242 was the premier
exponent of European electronic body music. Not dissimilar to
Depeche Mode and other synthesizer bands at the time, Front 242
began playing live, adding percussionist Geoff Bellingham but later
replacing him with an ex-roadie, Richard 23 (b. Richard Jonckheere).
Dirk Bergen also left the working band, but stayed on to direct
management. The group's sound began to grow more aggressive with
1984's No Comment EP, still reminiscent of synth-pop but with
harder-hitting rhythms and added menace from De Meyer's vocals. The
single "Tragedy (For You)" became another alternative club hit, and
picked up rotation on MTV as well. Though the following album,
Tyranny (For You), couldn't touch Front by Front in terms of
quality, it made great strides for the group in the minds of
audiences -- by the time of its release in 1991, Front 242 was, with
Ministry and Skinny Puppy, one of the most well-known industrial
acts in music.

MORAL DiSCLAiMER: We are very aware of the fact that our releases
contribute to the growing sale losses of record companies.
Unfortunately our style primarily targets small, independant labels
that need sales to survive.
For these reasons we ask you not to distribute this release on public
sites or P2P tools; if more and more receive their music from the net,
artists and labels will have to face even less sells than nowadays.
Please do not consider this release as a substitute to the original, but
only as a way to check out and learn about new music.
We absolutely do not approve of DJs or other individuals that earn
money from pirated music - Don't let them get their hands on it!
By buying the albums you like you disperse the guilt we feel by
releasing this music - Enjoy the music and be fair with the artists!
YOUR support is required to keep them financially alive and producing!
ATTENTiON: There is currently a 0day group operating under the name "AmoK"!
These individuals (mostly re-releasing cracks for the "webscene") are
in NO WAY releated with AMOK and we expect 0day staff to nuke their
releases as "fake" wherever uploaded!
