By January 2001, the band was recording again at Coney Island,
this time for a full length CD. "Soundtrack to a Midwestern
Winter" was released in the Spring of 2001 to rave reviews. One
particularly good review sparked interest in an A&R rep from TVT
Records, home of fellow emo legends Sevendust and Snoop Dogg's
Eastsidaz. Nothing much came of that, but it's fun to brag about.
By early summer, band tensions had caused a rift in the band, and
Sean was asked to leave. He was replaced for a short while with an
old friend Josh Erdman.
Shortly after, Tim announced that he would have to leave the band
as well because he was expecting his second child and could not
juggle both family and band responsibilities. With 2 original
members gone and aspirations to start anew, the band decided it
was time to call it a night. They played their last show in August
of 2001 at the Rockwater to a packed audience.

Released in March of 2001, the B2F full-length was destined to
receive equal or greater acclaim than their debut EP. Titled
"Soundtrack to a Midwestern Winter," the album has a loose winter
theme. The boys finished recording at Coney Island Recording
Studios in February 2001. Engineer extraordinaire was Wendy
Schneider. Brian Daly of Optisonic Studios handled the mastering.
Cover and jacket design was done by Jon at urbansub.com.
