Eerie drones, oscillations from the ether, distorted dark matter,
signals from other dimensions... The music of Sonologyst fluctuates
between scientific sonic documentaries and psychedelic abstraction,
illuminated by early experimentation of the 50's and 60's, as well
as future possibilities of the electronic and electro-acoustic.

"Silencers (The Conspiracy Theory Dossiers)" is inspired by the
testimonies of those who have had contact with the so-called
"Silencers" or "Men in Black". Federal agents? Aliens?
     International conspirators?

Sonologyst makes a documentary in music, including spy tech,
declassified documents, official recordings, control techs,
secreted scientific information, CIA Deep Black Programs, NASA
classified tapes, Secret societies and breakaway civilization
     hypotheses.

Given the mixture of a treasure chest of governments money, and
private connections, the likelihood exists that six decades later there
is a clandestine group that possesses:

Technology that is vastly superior to that of the “mainstream”
world. - The ability to explore areas of our world and surroundings
presently unavailable to the... more credits released October 14,

  bio : |
SONOLOGYST is the solo project of Raffaele Pezzella (born in Italy,
1971). R. Pezzella is a records and books editor, sound technician,
musician. His project Sonologyst is based on the perpetual
experiment in sound, with a special attention to the relationships
between music and other art forms, including literature and modern
mythologies. The music, generally dark and eerie, oscillates
between the Fortean documentary and a modern concrete sound design.
Since 2014 Sonologyst is the curator of Unexplained Sounds, a
“Global Network of Aural Disorientation” whose main label,
Unexplained Sounds Group, was founded in 2015. Along side the label
activity he runs a streaming radio program (The Recognition Test),
every Sunday 9.30 p.m. CET. In 2017 he founded the label Eighth
Tower Records and in 2020 founded the label ZeroK. In 2021 the
Swedish label Reverse Alignment became part of the Unexplained
Sounds Group network. In 2021 the Eighth Tower label becomes a
music and books publishing house, releasing a first book of tales
inspired by the cosmic horror in Lovecraft’s narrative.
Sonologyst’s recordings are available through: Cold Spring Records,
Unexplained Sounds Group, Eighth Tower Records, Gravity’s Rainbow
     Tapes, Attenuation Circuit.

Hi chaps! This is the new retrofuturistic "back to the future"
obso-leet AMOK nfo hybridising oldskool ASCII art and YAML.
This nfo is designed to be both human and machine readable.

We also bring a few more things:
      - The filenames are appended with ISRC codes disambiguating common
dupechecking problems like remastered and remixed tracks,
        transliteration errors, foreign characters...
      - id3 tags include a lot more metadata than average releases,
        some to name a few:
          - extended genres (extracted from last.fm/bandcamp)
          - similar artists
          - BPM (also shown in the tracklist above)
          - URLS for that release on various websites for listeners to
look for more info and to simplify nukers' jobs checking
            releases

The schema_version tag allows that nfo format to evolve and stay
compatible. The current schema will be published in the near
future to make sure all .yml.nfo released will use the same
    structure and set of keys.
