packaging for this latest Merzbow release alone makes it one of
the most collectable releases he has put his name to and one of
the heaviest CD packages we have ever come across. Merzbow is
the most prolific creator of experimental music alive. His
enormous discography is only rivalled in size by that of Sun Ra
and Muslimgauze. This makes understanding his body of work very
difficult and intimidating to approach and æMetamorphismö is a
powerfully emotional, violently painful, and strangely ambient
work. Fused from deep and loud pulses, Merzbow proceeds to wrap
all sorts of whistling and buzzing, some abstract guitar
strumming and chaotic sheets of static and ear-splitting
metallic scrapes over the carefully constructed rhythm.
