│║ Down Under Beats Crew's sound has always stood apart from the
│║ rest of the flock both for it's diversity and consistency but
│║ this is now more apparent than ever with the release of "Under
│║ Raps".

│║ MC's Dialectrix and Joe New have pushed themselves to new
│║ levels of lyrical depth and technicality, establishing a
│║ unique blend of story telling and vocal acrobatics. A rare
│║ partnership has been achieved between these two wordsmiths
│║ that has enabled seamless interaction of concept and delivery.
│║
│║ Platterpush and Codeks handle all production duties and
│║ provide a solid DJ presence throughout, particularly evident
│║ in the two instrumental tracks. Musically "Under Raps" ranges
│║ from crusty crate digging head nodders to reggae/dancehall
│║ bangers, whilst still retaining the original sample laden
│║ 'boombap' trademark sound Platterpush and Codeks have become
│║ renowned for. When listening to "Under Raps" it is evident
│║ that these boys have developed their process of multi layered
│║ sample production to a fine art resulting in a well rounded
│║ album of songs not just two bar drum loops.

│║ "Under Raps" covers varied themes throughout but many of the
│║ tracks tend to impart an ethos of self-improvement or contain
│║ some form of social commentary. It's not all serious or doom
│║ and gloom, there is still a fare share of light hearted party
│║ tracks that are sure to become the soundtrack to many a rowdy
│║ night out this summer.
