██ Roughtrade.com wrote this about this CD:
██
██ Make Good Your Escape are from the south of
██ Englandshire and "Never Look Back Here Again" is
██ their first fullish length collection of tunes
██ following the thoroughly acclaimed singles "No
██ Return" and "Beautiful Ruin". Make Good Your
██ Escape have been described as purveyors of
██ euphoric rock. As job descriptions go, this is
██ very, very accurate as the foursome take the
██ traditional rock template and give it a hysterical
██ massaging. They can do sensitive, Make Good Your
██ Escape. But they can also throw out super
██ thunderous stormclouds of hyperindierock, and
██ luckily for them muscular producer Greg Havers was
██ on hand to capture these end results. Over the
██ past year make good your escape have patiently
██ plied their trade on the underground circuit,
██ stormtrooping all the way from Fierce Panda's 12th
██ birthday party at the bull and gate with the
██ maccabees in kentish town to dazzling the industry
██ heads at cmj in new york city. All the while those
██ live shows have been jaw-droppingly energetic
██ affairs with tunes parachuting down somewhere
██ between the skyscraping ambition of U2, the
██ tenderloin angst of Radiohead and the cloud-
██ chasing ambition of Muse.
