Darja and Julia formed the band Emplosia in october, 2000 in the
Russian city of Saratov. During this time, the girls tried to express
their view of the modern world using electronic music as the instrument
in creating their songs. Synthpop (accented with elements of Darwave,
EBM and Retropop) frames their heartfelt lyrics and leads the listener
to an optimistic search through the ruins of our idustrialized world.
Their influences are bands such as And One, De/Vision, Beborn Beton,
Apoptygma Berzerk, Melotron, Mesh, Fairlight Children, Conetik and of
course Project Pitchfork, which they do a lovely homage to with their
cover of "Daimonion". :)
Note: All the Russian Track titles that were sprinkled amungst the
English ones were translated into English for the obvious reasons.
