INVITATION TO A LAPLAND STATE OF MIND
Zacharius Carls Group continues to kill apathy on their eagerly
awaited second album, IMAGE OF LOVE. Previous releases gathered
praises from public and critics and they were no strangers on official
Finnish album- and singles-charts as well. Humble followers can't
decide whether this is the Crazy Horse of Lapland or David Lynch of
Finnish rock. Maybe a hint of both but still something completely
different, something unique. Hailing from Northern Finland, a small
town called Tornio, where big river divides the town centrum. Up there
you could either end up working at steel mill or at local brewery.
These guys escaped on the wings of their music.
Zacharius Carls Group has been on a never ending tour since 2003 and
the result of this intense era is crystalized on IMAGE OF LOVE. Named
after a legendary Swedish crazy priest, Zacharius Carl, this band
carries the torch of their lunatic 'godfather' on a mission to charm
audiences with manic expression. The landscapes of dark and mystic
north is very present in their songs. From the caress of Winter Freeze
to warfields in Little Berlin. Confused? Good.
