▓░░█ ░ RELEASE NOTES ▄▄▄▄▀▀▀
░ █ ▀ ▀▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀ █
█ "In my opinion 21 year old Rhoda Morgan is one of █
█ the hottest up and coming r&b █
█ singer/songwriter/producers of 2006" writes █
█ Robert Federovsky. On her debut release "From █
█ Brixton to Brooklyn" she unleashes hit after hit, █
█ combining her trademark beats with smooth vocals █
█ and catchy hooks, revealing a fierce unstoppable █
█ talent. █
█ █
█ This was no overnight success for the little girl █
█ with the big voice. From the age of 14, she had █
█ already begun developing her unique style of r&b, █
█ hip-hop and pop. Receiving vocal training at The █
█ Sylvia Young Theatre school in London, United █
█ Kingdom she discovered her ability to write songs █
█ and make music █
█ "I used to plug myself to anyone and everyone" █
█ She recalls "anyone that came into contact with █
█ me was given one of my demo cassettes" This was █
█ just the beginning. Aged 16 she was featured on █
█ Simon Cowell's 'Pop Idol' and had the chance to █
█ audition before music executives from Universal █
█ Island Records and then Sony/Columbia but she was █
█ desperate for more than what the U.K. music scene █
█ could offer. Fuelled with a passion she followed █
█ her musical dreams to New York City at the tender █
█ age of eighteen. After performances in the 9/11 █
█ memorial concerts various appearances in █
█ showcases and numerous production and writing █
█ credits to her name, she emerged as a █
█ well-respected songwriter, producer and vocalist █
█ in the New York music scene. In 2006 she began █
█ working on her long-awaited and highly █
█ anticipated debut album. She enlisted the help of █
█ Chicago's hottest new producer Daniel 'Burger █
█ Beatz' Szura and collaborated with some of the █
█ best rappers in New York; Seldom Seen. Jersey and █
█ Stelo. On the track 'Run away' reggae artist █
█ Loose also makes a brief but memorable █
█ appearance. █
█ █
█ For me personally the highlights are the soulful █
█ ballads, namely 'Rescue Me', 'Fantasy' and █
█ 'Shoulda Woulda Coulda.' Uptempo tracks such as █
█ 'So Complete', 'He say She say' and 'Don't stop' █
█ narrowly coming in second. Rhoda's interpretation █
█ of Beyonces 'Crazy' entitled 'Crazy:Part II' █
█ should not be overlooked, it is surprisingly as █
█ great as the original. █
█ █
█ This fall Rhoda will be performing at venues all █
█ over the City this fall. On behalf of her fans, █
█ I'd like to wish her the best of luck with her █
█ album release and I think I can be sure in saying █
█ that this will not be the last we hear of Rhoda █
█ Morgans █
