DOWN LOW stay true to themselves...
And that since 1995, when they started their career on rank 18 in the german
single charts. You sure remember ÆJohnny B.Æ, the rapcover of the hooters song.
For that Joe Thompson and his singer got gold and climb into the german charts
top ten. Half a year later they topped this success again with their ballad
ÆOnce Upon A TimeÆ. More then 400.000 singles sold and a rank 4 in the german
ÆhitparadenÆ mean gold in germany; in Italy they get platinum for their album
ÆMoonlightÆ.
Besides diverse projects with other artists (e.g. Rappers Against Racism), DOWN
LOW climb into the top ranks of the charts again and again. They get several
prices in whole Europe. DOWN LOW loves to play live and they were the Æmost
booked bandÆ in the year 1999. So their tour reaches even Scandinavia. They
still care a lot about their fans.
Even if it was a little quit around JOE THOMPSON and RICK LAMONT, the rapper
kept their unique style and their enthusiasm about black music. Finally the
