Release Notes:
In a scene where nearly every band wants to simply imitate, UK stalwarts Pylon
are a breath of fresh air, refusing to compromise in their pursuit of a well
crafted song and a beautifully layered melody. Pylon have the ability to put a
tune in your head and make sure it sticks there.
Having built up a dedicated following among those in the know via shows with the
likes of Fugazi, Dismemberment Plan, Hot Water Music, Gameface, Piebald and The
Cribs and their own tours of the UK and Europe, theres been a five year wait for
this album to emerge.
The time taken has resulted in a record of depth and maturity, mixing the pop
sensibilities of Ash with classic US indie rock like Sunny Day Real Estate and
The Posies, adding layered vocal harmonies, delicate rhodes piano embellishments
and the Northern indie soul of The Charlatans or The Verve at their best.
Limited first pressing includes a bonus CD with nine extra tracks from their two
classic, and now unavailable, EPs.
