ninja rinse-out! zero db and simon green himself take the
beautiful, elegant "nightlite" from the highly-praised bonobo
album, days to come, and take it on two contrasting but equally
dancefloor-destroying d&b outings.
the original 'nightlite' featured the unique, indefinable voice of
bajka (pronounced biker). bajka grew up as part of a travelling
music commune called embryo in places such as afghanistan, nepal
and pakistan. now based in germany she has released records on
labels such as ubiquity, jazzman and compost.
her vocals have been retained by both parties, but while zero db
place her amongst their trademark deep deep wobbly bass(tm),
acoustic rumbles and general audio shock ænÆ awe, si green
concentrates on a marvellous, building and beautiful orchestral
string part. oh, and both of them roll out. pure drum and bass
dynamite, with cherries on top.
