'Get It Off The Ground' has been a big spin down
at Deep Funk for years - a low-slung soul/boogie
monster that works every time and crosses the
divide between funk,disco and 80s sounds.As a
bonus you get the 7" version and the full 12" mix
- double the pleasure!'Test Drive' is a modern
soul anthem, much sought after and with original
copies fetching large sums.Joe's insightful lyrics
push the analogy of test driving a car with casual
sex about as far as taste allows, and possibly
further. The boogie grooves are reminiscent of the
best the 80s had to offer - clubs full of chrome
and glass, slap bass and other delights that cannot
fail to rock the floor!
