While it isn't exactly the most attractively named
set of disco edits, this new 12" from the
London-based Phoreski does benefit from having
four excellent tracks.A1 sees an artefact from the
mid-80's solo period of Rolling Stone Mick
Jagger, whose "Lucky In Love",is extinguished of
vocals for a street disco-rock feel,while A2
revisits Voice of Space's spaced out cosmic "We
Like U",B1 is a clever edit of what is currently
the most in-demand disco tune the diggers world
has ever seen - The Osmonds' "I, I, I" - cutting
out almost all the vocals for a cleaner cut that
concentrates on the killer groove,string
flourishes and ace dynamics.Lastly is a smart take
on Nite Lite's smooth n' funky "Baby Don't You
Know".
