█░█ Beauty Sleep is a band that swims happily between █░█
█░█ the sounds of sweet indie pop, rock, and █░█
█░█ melancholy melodies without ever stopping for █░█
█░█ breath. They have a quiet and touching sound that █░█
█░█ draws you in during their performances. Their █░█
█░█ catchy melodies pull together a semi-sweet, █░█
█░█ playful sound and a unique intensity about █░█
█░█ frantic Manhattan life and love. █░█

█░█ Beauty Sleep started in 2004 when old college █░█
█░█ friends Annabel Kaplan (vocals, guitar) and Tony █░█
█░█ Larkin (vocals, guitar) ran into each other at an █░█
█░█ NYC venue. They shared similar influences (Rilo █░█
█░█ Kiley, Built to Spill, The Kinks, Grandaddy, █░█
█░█ Masters of the Hemisphere), and after a few █░█
█░█ practices it was obvious that the two of them █░█
█░█ created a complimentary and very unique sound. █░█
█░█ Beauty Sleep was later joined (after numerous █░█
█░█ disgusting and humiliating hazing rituals) by Rob █░█
█░█ DiCaterino on drums and Brian DiFeo on bass. █░█
█░█ After finishing a 5 song self-titled EP and █░█
█░█ playing at multiple venues in the New England █░█
█░█ area (Cake Shop, The Delancey, The Elevens) they █░█
█░█ were picked up by Connecticut-based label █░█
█░█ Skipping Stones Records. Beauty Sleep is █░█
█░█ currently working on their upcoming 2006 █░█
█░█ full-length release with Skipping Stones Records █░█
