Some great electronic remixes from Funkstorung with a lot of DnB influences.
Very nice to chill down, Its the first SQ 2007 release, the official release
date from the retail will be at 22 January 2007. Enjoy it!
The German duo Funkstorung decided to quit after twelve years. On 22 January
appears their last piece of work called "Appendix" a collection with remixes
for artists like Bjork, Lamb and Beanfield. It is their third collection and
also their last remix collection album.
Michael Fakesch and Chris de Luca come from the place: Rosenheim in Germany,
where they all those years lived and worked.They met eachother in 1992, when
Fakesch organized at age of 17, a series of techno parties, he hired the one
year older De Luca who was a DJ at that time. The profit of the celebrations
was used as investment for studio equipment.In 1994 they pressed their first
productions for a label named Bunker wich was located in The Hague - Holland
The name "Funkstorung" was born in 1996 and covered up Fakesch his precisely
sound and De Lucas deformed sounds with a funky impact sound the productions
appeared at their label called " Musik Aus Strom " In 2000 their debut album
"Appetite For Disctruction" came out, wich made the duo 'name' with a series
of remixes for names like Wu-Tang Clan and Bjork. Their first album release
was the remix collection "Additional Productions" from 1999.
Total Michael Fakesch and, Chris de Luca delivered three albums, next to the
debut album Appetite For Disctruction came also Disconnected (2004) and also
Return To The Acid Planet (2005). Michael Fakesch also released a sole album
"Marion (1999)" Chris de Luca made the album: Deadly Wiz Dons Disko (2002).
After the remix collection Vice Versa from 2001 is Appendix their third and
last album player with remixes for various known artists around the globe.
