     Music inspired by the Edda.

     The Edda are collections of poetically narrated folk-tales
     relating to Norse Mythology or Norse heroes. These are
     fragmentary parts of a (presumably) much larger skaldic
     tradition of oral narration which has been written down by
     scholars prior to the tales being lost absolutely. The most
     well-known are the Icelandic Poetic Edda (also known as Elder
     Edda) and the Prose Edda (also known as the Younger Edda),
     both of which were written during the 13th century.
