Release Notes:
The kind of record that should come on Cinnamon scented vinyl, this new 7" from
Jazzanova is Sonar Kollektiv's bid for some festive cheer - featuring a
Christmas tree stamp on the sleeve and some wintry sounds within... Dispensing
with the usual jazz creased breaks and coffee table theatrics, 'The Sirens'
Call' sees Jazzanova in a silky mood - as Thief guests on vocals and provides a
glittering focal point amongst the soft focus aesthetics. Sounding not unlike
the intro of an Air track, 'The Sirens' Call' doesn't do a great deal with its
four minutes, but what it does is craft a mellifluous confection of spongy
harmonies and twinkly acoustics. Jazz hands!
