James Harries is a British singer-songwriter with "...a golden voice" (Sax
Magazine, Germany) that a music critic from Rolling Stone once described as
sounding like "...a strange mix of something between Jeff Buckley and Oasis",
and has had other reviewers scrambling around for comparisons to such
distinguished and distinctive musicians as Tom Waits, Violent Femmes, Tim
Buckley and Damien Rice, to name but a few. In a review of a show in the
Allgemeine Zeitung, James was likened to Neil Young, Van Morrison, Davey
Graham and Leo Kotte, or as the editor of Rock & Pop magazine put it "...he
has matured into an eclectic, genre defying singer/songwriter"
