Underground Railroad are a gender bending,
jaw-dropping, whilrwind of filthy beats, beautiful
bass-lines, squalling guitars, male/female vocals
and an extremely casual regard for the integrity
off their limbs. Having formed in the grey and
dirty city of Paris in 2003 and bonded over a
shared love of chaotic nervous noisy rock
influenced by The Velvet Underground, The Stooges,
the Cure, Ride, Black Flag, Deerhoof or Nirvana,
they got bored of touring France so decided to
move to London. Arriving in 2005 they promptly
found themsleves playing with the likes of Melt
Banana, Neil's Children, Adequate 7 and The Long
Blondes across the UK. Having been approached by
several UK labels, Underground Railroad finally
signed to One Little Indian Records in August
2006, and lost no time in releasing their debut
single, "Cookies & Milk", through One Little
Indian and Idiot Records. Their debut album,
"Twisted Trees", which had already been released
in France through cult label Dirty Witch, is
released in the UK In January 2007. On stage,
Undergroudn Railroad are an explosion of genuine
energy and anger, a true storm of music catching
up everyone in it's path. Underground Railroad
