Leif Sundstrom
lives in Portland, Oregon
contact mics, records, oscillators, percussion
Leif has developed his own improvised approach to music,
maintaining a symbiotic relationship with his environment and
company. Using a changing and steady array of electronic and
acoustic instruments, Leif focuses his music making on an
understanding of sound as environment, in order that his music
may exist as architecture, sharing space with those who
participate within it.
Influences for Leif's sounds range from metaphysics and ethics
to old growth forest and Oregon clouds. However, his
relationships with others - coming, going and remaining -
continue to be the most influential reason for making music at
all.
Bryan Eubanks
lives in New York, NY
open circuit electronics, samples
A musician originally from the Pacific Northwest, Bryan has
been developing his approach to music with hand-made/found
electronics and the soprano saxophone for about 7 years. He
found formative collaborations with Joseph Foster and Jean
Paul Jenkins in Portland, Or. 1999 and subsequently played
with many people in the country on frequent tours with
Portland-based ensembles and as a solo traveler. He remembers
liking Super Unity only 50% of the time, yet it remains one of
his favourite collaboration to date. He has played music in
the US, Europe, and Korea.
