│ Yarah Bravo, Vadim, and Blu Rum 13 are back on the scene with a │
│ limited pressing EP of material they've been working on while │
│ on tour over the past year. Their sound has clearly developed │
│ while still maintaining the genuine, heartfelt without being │
│ corny feeling that made their fist stuff so appealing. The │
│ songs on this EP almost transport me to the tour bus as I can │
│ vividly imagine these three kicking it and having some │
│ next-level quasi hippy latenight/early morning jam sessions in │
│ between cities. I'm envisioning bongos, incense and maybe some │
│ ill-advised, superfaded beatboxing. There's a warmth between │
│ this trio that totally comes across in these songs (they also │
│ came through TTL HQ during their last tour and were hands down │
│ some of the most respectful, humble, and cool-ass muhfuckas │
│ that have dropped by in a minute) and you can tell that the │
│ musical chemistry is still blossoming. "Rise Up(1)" sounds like │
│ a posse cut that the Ruff Ryders could've dropped if they had │
│ just gotten out of a three month meditation retreat. It somehow │
│ sounds really hype without anyone yelling. "Caravan vs Black │
│ Ink(2)" and "Sunday Afternoon(3)" both remind me of life. │
│ Simple yet complex, you feel me? Vadim adds some great │
│ production nuances throughout with subtle dub effects and that │
│ patented thick and hollow kick drum steering the ship. Check │
│ "Cats and Dogs(4)" and "Visions of Visions Pt 2(5)" for the │
│ stealth skill set. Listen to "I Don't Want Nobody(6)" to hear │
│ Yarah straight kill it. She be fierce! Be good to yourself and │
│ the Earth. Buy organic. │
