RELEASE NOTES
Chris Carter is no conventional breaks producer
and his REC label has to be one of the most out
there labels doing the rounds right now. I get
the feeling Chris Carter does what he does to
please Chris Carter. If 5 people like it or
200,000 people like it, so be it, Chris Carter
isnÆt going to change; heÆs going to carry on
making his shit whatever.
Frogmarch could so easily sit alongside Richie
HawtinÆs Plastic Man alter-ego. The tune is
minimal techno and tech headz are gonna love it.
As the tune unfolds computer game sounds assault
the senses attacking from all angles. The tune
doesnÆt so much build but intensifies in sonic
dynamics until the final bars bring twisted
frequencies that even Aphex Twin would be proud
of.
The dub version on the flip moves in similar
territories with an re-arrangement of the
frequencies and drum editing while adding more
bounce to the grooves. I would say the dub will
get the play in the booth.
