"TBAHPE (even the acronym is unwieldy! Whatever happened to simple names like
The Band or Showaddywaddy?) are a five/six piece from Ohio who employ guitars,
drums, bass, keys and more random instrumentation to great effect, taking in
various influences and styles from across a whole scope of different forms of
music. The songs on their debut album veer from 12 minute post-rock epics (album
opener "Alaska"), to four-minute math-pop blasts ("Teaching Your Children to
Speak"), through to more ambient workouts (the somewhat ironically titled "The

We were born in October 2004, just in time to prepare a handful of songs for an
"election night party" at the Cleveland Institute of Art.
Setting any silly facts aside, we're really just a bunch of real good friends
attempting to construct a giant emotional rollercoaster - hell - an entire theme
park out of various combinations of sound waves. These waves carry and roll us
like a baby alligator through a much larger musical journey beyond our control.
AND, like a baby alligator, we will slowly mature into a much larger and more
dangerous alligator. So don't fall asleep on the edge of our river, if you catch
our drift.
But feel free to support anti-alligator poaching laws. And maybe come see us
play.
